Privacy

What we keep: your question, its language, the time you sent it, and your email address if you gave one. We do not ask for your name.

Who sees it: only the Darul Ifta staff who work on your question. Your email address is shown to staff only when they need it.

What is published: when a question is answered, a shortened version without names, places or other personal details is published so others can benefit. Private matters such as divorce, abuse or court cases are never published.

Your tracking code is the only key to your question if you gave no email address. We store it scrambled, so we cannot look it up for you.

To delete your question and contact details, open your tracking page and send a follow-up asking for deletion. A published, anonymised fatwa stays.
